Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day working of MeFree, ensuring smooth functioning of business operations across procurement, production, logistics, customer fulfilment, and vendor management. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with the ability to streamline processes, manage teams, and coordinate with other departments to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operations Management

  2. Supervise daily operations across in-house manufacturing and outsourced processes for yoga props and apparel.

  3. Ensure quality checks on material purchased and goods produced.
  4. Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, and timely replenishment.

  5. Implement operational systems, processes, and best practices aligned with company goals.

  6. Vendor & Procurement Management

  7. Liaise with suppliers and external vendors for timely procurement of raw materials and finished goods.

  8. Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.

  9. Ensure timely payments and compliance with agreed service levels.

  10. Order Fulfilment & Customer Service

  11. Coordinate with the sales and CRM teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery.

  12. Monitor logistics (domestic & international) and address bottlenecks in supply chain.

  13. Ensure effective customer redressal mechanisms for complaints or returns.

  14. Warehouse & Logistics

  15. Manage warehouse activities at Bhiwandi, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound flow.

  16. Oversee storage practices to reduce wastage, shrinkage, and damage.

  17. Coordinate with logistics partners for cost-efficient and timely deliveries.

  18. People & Team Management

  19. Supervise operational staff and ensure productivity across teams.

  20. Provide training to ensure adherence to operational procedures.

  21. Collaborate with HR to manage scheduling, leave planning, and performance tracking.

  22. Process Improvement & Reporting

  23. Continuously monitor operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

  24. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to operations .Prepare and present weekly/monthly MIS reports covering production, procurement, inventory, logistics, and operational KPIs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 35 years of experience in operations, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM tools (Zoho experience is an advantage).
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-time order fulfilment rate.
  • Reduction in operational costs.
  • Inventory accuracy and stock turnaround time.
  • Vendor compliance and cost savings achieved.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings on fulfilment and delivery.
  • Efficiency of warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Work Environment
  • Location: Mumbai (with frequent coordination with the Bhiwandi warehouse).
  • Full-time, with flexibility for extended hours in peak seasons.
  • Reporting: Directly to the Director/CEO.
