The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Measurement and Evaluation (M&E) function. The role will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive M&E strategy to track, assess, and optimize the impact of the Foundation's programs.

This role is critical to ensuring data driven decision-making and continuous improvement across all of Wadhwani Foundation's initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
 Strategic Leadership o Develop and implement an overarching M&E framework for the Foundation's various programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. o Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and outcome metrics to measure program success. o Collaborate with senior leadership to embed M&E into the core strategy and decision making process of the Foundation.
 Program Evaluation o Design and oversee robust evaluation methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) for ongoing and future initiatives. o Analyze program performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize program delivery and impact. o Commission and manage third-party evaluations where appropriate to ensure unbiased assessment of program impact.
 Research and Measuring Change o Identifying research areas aligned to the program areas and interventions of the Foundation o Conceptualise and implement research studies o Design and implement studies to measure change in WF's intervention areas
 Capacity Building o Build the M&E capacity of program teams by providing guidance, tools, and training on data collection, analysis, and reporting. o Foster a culture of learning and accountability across the organization through regular sharing of insights and recommendations.
 Data Management and Reporting o Develop systems for data collection, storage, and analysis that ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting of program outcomes. o Prepare regular reports and presentations on program performance and impact for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and donors.
 Innovation and Learning o Stay informed about best practices in M&E within the social impact and philanthropic sectors, and apply innovative approaches to improve the Foundation's M&E processes.

Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities
 Minimum of 15 years' experience in an M&E role within the non-profit, philanthropic, or social impact sectors (preferably in the economic development or livelihood/ employment space)
 At least 5 years' experience leading M&E for a large impact-focused organization. This experience must include supervising a team of direct reports, budget management, and direct reporting to executive leadership of the organization.
 Strong network, preferably national and international, and recognition within the M&E space.
 Excellent executive presence, demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts and information, challenge assumptions, and persuade non-technical stakeholders.
 Proven experience designing and implementing M&E frameworks, including quantitative and qualitative evaluation methodologies.
 Knowledge of social impact measurement frameworks such as SROI, Theory of Change, or Logical Framework Analysis.
 Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights that drive strategic decisions.
 Familiarity with tools and technologies used for data management, analysis, and reporting.
 Experience working with multi-stakeholder environments, including funders, partners, and external evaluators.
 Team leadership: Ability to manage and mentor a team of M&E professionals.
 Masters/ PhD (preferred) in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related field. Key Attributes
