Job Description - Head, Sales Force Effectiveness / Commercial Excellence
Role Purpose
Lead the design and execution of the companys Sales Force Effectiveness and Commercial Excellence strategy. Drive field productivity, marketing ROI, and commercial impact through advanced analytics, digital systems, and innovative campaigns.
What you will do
- Define and execute SFE/Commercial Excellence strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead and Mentor the Analytics Team: Manage and mentor a team of data analysts to deliver actionable insights and maintain best practices in data analysis.
- Define Metrics and Analyze Data: Develop and maintain dashboards to track key product performance metrics (KPIs). Dive into product usage data to identify sales force behaviour patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Define and assess sales schemes and drive customer-level engagement insights.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the software product manager, designers, marketers, and the software engineering team to ensure data-driven insights are integrated into product development and improvements. You'll serve as a key link between the analytics function, marketing, and product development efforts.
- Inform Product Strategy: Utilize data insights to influence the product roadmap and feature prioritization. Help prioritize product initiatives based on analytical evidence and business impact. Lead incentive design, campaign measurement, and sales forecasting.
- Present Insights to Stakeholders: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner. Translate complex data into compelling stories and reports that drive informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- MBA/PG in Marketing, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years in Sales Force Effectiveness / Commercial Excellence (pharma, healthcare, FMCG).
- Strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, R, VBA; proven experience with SFA/CRM/DMS platforms.
- Track record of leading analytics-driven transformations, campaign effectiveness measurement, and expense governance.
