Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving growth for Talrop's in-house startups operating within the construction sector. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in sales and marketing in the construction industry, with the ability to build strong relationships, identify opportunities, and close high-value deals. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to understand products, services, and unique value propositions to effectively position them in the market.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Growth & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction and infrastructure sector.
- Generate leads, follow up with prospects, and convert opportunities into successful business deals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the objectives of Talrop's construction-focused startups.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects, developers, and decision-makers across the construction industry.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions from Talrop's portfolio of construction-related products and services.
- Ensure smooth communication, timely follow-ups, and excellent customer satisfaction.
3. Marketing & Brand Development
- Support marketing teams in executing promotional activities relevant to the construction sector.
- Represent the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and trade meets.
- Assist in strengthening the brand's presence and visibility in the local and regional market.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal startup teams to understand offerings, pricing models, technical capabilities, and service delivery processes.
- Coordinate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of client requirements.
- Share market insights and customer feedback with internal teams for product or service refinement.
5. Market Research & Insights
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and shifting customer needs in the construction sector.
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations for management.
- Identify new segments or geographic areas for business expansion.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, solutions, or related services.
- Proven track record in sales target achievement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong networking ability within the construction ecosystem.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2B & B2C sales within construction.
- Prior exposure to startup or fast-paced environments.
- Ability to present solutions clearly to clients with varying levels of technical understanding.
- Strong documentation and pipeline management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18, ₹30,000.00 per month
