**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Indian Commis II to join our kitchen team. As an Indian Commis II, you will assist in preparing and cooking traditional and contemporary Indian dishes under the guidance of the Indian Chef or Sous Chef. This position is ideal for someone with a strong passion for Indian cuisine and a desire to develop their culinary skills in a dynamic kitchen environment.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Food Preparation**:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking, as per recipes and instructions.
- Prepare and assemble components for dishes such as curries, tandoori items, dals, rice dishes, and breads (e.g., naan, paratha).
- Ensure all ingredients are prepared in a timely and organized manner, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
**2. Cooking Assistance**:
- Assist in cooking Indian dishes according to traditional recipes and methods, including grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and steaming.
- Work on different sections of the kitchen, including the tandoor, curry station, and prep areas.
- Ensure dishes are cooked to order, meeting restaurant standards for quality and presentation.
**3. Food Quality and Presentation**:
- Assist in plating dishes with attention to detail, ensuring dishes are presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Maintain consistency in taste and quality of food items, ensuring they meet the established recipes and standards.
**4. Food Safety and Hygiene**:
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper storage of ingredients and finished dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
**5. Support and Teamwork**:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, helping with tasks such as inventory management, food preparation, and clean-up.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff or apprentices.
**6. Stock and Inventory**:
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Indian Chef.
- Ensure all ingredients are stored properly to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
