**Position**: Import Documentation Cum Purchase Executive

**Job Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Import Documentation & Compliance**:
- Prepare and manage all import-related documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
- Track shipments and manage import clearance schedules to avoid delays.
- Resolve any issues related to customs, duties, and taxes, in collaboration with the finance and logistics teams.
- **Purchasing & Procurement**:
- Procure materials, components, and finished goods required for elevator manufacturing from domestic and international suppliers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, as well as identify potential new vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Place purchase orders and monitor their status, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Ensure that all purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.
- **Vendor Management & Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, agreements, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure all necessary purchase and import documents are properly filed and easily accessible for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing and import activities, including costs, lead times, and supplier performance.
- **Cross-Departmental Coordination**:
- Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of parts for manufacturing.
- Communicate with the finance team to manage payment schedules and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, or related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in import documentation, purchasing, or logistics in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferably in the elevator, construction, or industrial equipment industry).
- **Knowledge**:
- Strong understanding of import-export procedures, customs regulations, and international trade laws.
- Familiarity with elevator manufacturing components and materials.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software.
- **Skills**:
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel**:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
