As a Pet Field, Area Sales Executive, your primary responsibility is to drive sales and promote pet-related products within a designated territory. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with retailers, distributors, and other
key stakeholders in the pet industry. This position requires a deep understanding of the pet market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Actively seek out new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Develop and maintain strong relationships with pet stores, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, and other relevant businesses. Meet and exceed sales targets through effective product promotion and persuasive sales techniques.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the latest trends, products, and innovations in the pet industry. Provide comprehensive product knowledge to potential customers and answer inquiries. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for store staff.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify potential competitors and market trends. Gather feedback from customers and relay it to the product development team. Stay informed about consumer preferences and pet industry regulations.
- Territory Management:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for territory coverage and growth. Regularly visit existing and potential clients to maintain relationships and gather feedback. Plan and attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote products.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns. Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve any issues. Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to improve product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the pet industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
