**The Role**

The Program Officer for the Mental Health Program in Primary Health Care is responsible for overseeing the overall functioning of the program. This includes planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating program activities to ensure effective and efficient delivery of mental health services within primary health care settings. The role requires a strong understanding of mental health issues, excellent management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community stakeholders, and program participants.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Ensure that program activities are executed according to the planned timeline and budget.

2. Coordinate with healthcare providers to integrate mental health services into primary care settings 3. Collect, analyze, and report data to track progress and inform decision-making.

4. Conduct regular site visits to ensure program fidelity and quality of services

5. Coordinate the training programs with Field Staff.

6. Provide ongoing support and supervision to healthcare providers to ensure the effective delivery of mental health services.

7. Develop and implement advocacy strategies to raise awareness about mental health issues within primary health care.

8. Organize community outreach and education activities to promote mental health and reduce stigma **Qualifications**:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Preferably MSW. Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in program management, preferably in mental health or primary health care. Freshers can also apply.

**Skills**:
∙ Strong understanding of mental health issues and primary health care systems.

∙ Excellent project management and organizational skills.

∙ Ability to analyze data and use it to inform program decisions.

∙ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

∙ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

∙ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Language: Proficiency in Kannada and English.

**Reports to**:Director, Public Health Initiative - Dr Roopa Devadasan

**Remuneration**:25,000-35,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and qualification.

Pay: Up to ₹55,000.00 per month
