**SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION**

Jacobs’ IT Sourcing organization manages IT suppliers and develops and executes procurement category strategies that support the needs of Jacobs’ business units and IT. The IT Buyer provides the internal customer with procurement regarding the product and builds relationships with stakeholders to support early engagement opportunities with suppliers to optimize investment.

Under the direction of IT Procurement Operations Manager, this individual will provide support to the IT Sourcing organization in administrative activities and purchase of hardware.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Exists within our Jacobs’ IT Sourcing organization and reports to the Manager of IT Procurement Operations
- Perform the administrative functions supporting the IT Sourcing organization, including the creation of CERs and PRs
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and team members of the IT Sourcing organization
- Is responsible for procurement activity in line with the firm’s internal needs
- Administers purchase orders, including change order processing (creating modifications), contractual compliance
- Evaluates facts surrounding purchase order-related problem areas, determines the most appropriate remedial actions, and implements such actions through available means
- Facilitates and solves any invoice related queries
- Performs contract management and procurement activities within the Ariba Spend Management Suite, Service Now and Oracle Purchasing system
- Maintains purchase order and purchasing process documentation
- Uses superior interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with other buyers, stakeholders and functional partners at all levels of the organization

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- +2 years of experience in procurement /sale /logistics or customer service
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with focus in Economy, Business, Administration or Law
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Some experience within Procurement spend categories is an asset
- Knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Strategic Sourcing process and methodology is an asset
- Working knowledge of enterprise procurement systems (Oracle, Ariba) is an asset
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
