**Job Description of an Executive Chef**
**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Culinary Leadership**:
v Develop and maintain a culinary vision that aligns with the restaurant's brand, culture, and customer preferences.
v Create and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and customer feedback while ensuring consistent quality and taste across all locations.
v Oversee recipe development, standardization, and costing to maximize profitability and maintain food cost targets.
v Train, mentor, and lead a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and creative culinary environment.
**Operational Excellence**:
v Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
v Collaborate with restaurant managers to optimize kitchen operations, streamline workflows, and maintain efficient inventory management.
v Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
v Manage and forecast food supply needs, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely and consistent delivery of quality ingredients.
**Innovation and Quality**:
v Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and emerging flavors to continually elevate the restaurant's offerings.
v Plan and execute special events, tastings, and culinary promotions to attract and engage customers.
v Implement quality control measures to maintain consistent taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
**Team Development**:
v Recruit, hire, and onboard kitchen staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team that upholds the restaurant's standards.
v Provide ongoing training and development opportunities, fostering skill enhancement and career growth within the culinary team.
**Financial Management**:
v Work closely with the management team to develop and manage budgets, controlling costs while delivering high-quality dishes.
v Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and kitchen performance metrics to make informed decisions and adjustments.
**Qualifications**:
v Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a multi-chain restaurant or high-volume dining establishment.
v Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
v Strong culinary skills, creativity, and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
v Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
v Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management.
v Ability to adapt to changing environments, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
v Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
v Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost management.
v Flexibility to travel between restaurant locations as needed.
**Salary**: ₹45,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
