Solution Architect, Demo

Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, has a vacancy in our India team for a technical consultant to join the Blue Planet Laboratory & Demonstration Solution Architecture team. This is a phenomenal opportunity to be involved with Blue Planet’s Intelligent Automation Solution and showcase our platform thru solution demos. The suite of solution demos provides demonstration capabilities for our sales teams and partners across the globe to experience our orchestration, assurance, service order management, and inventory solutions.

Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare presentation materials, demos, etc., attend and very often lead customer meetings
- Leads and builds the solution creation and drives value for Blue Planet.
- Collaborate closely with PLM, Sales, Engineering and Delivery to build the best overall Blue Planet solution for the customer.
- Develop the customization required to meet the customer’s requirements and test evaluation.
- Engage with the customer in providing detailed technical walk-through of the solutions.

Required Experience
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in network management/automation - NETCONF/YANG, CLI scripting, Ansible, and products such as Blue Planet UAA/MDSO, Cisco DNA/NSO, Juniper Contrail/Apstra, Nokia NSP, or similar
- 2+ Years of experience with customers and network management
- Experience in data networking with a strength in L2/L3 Switching & Routing
- Industry Certifications such as JNCIS-DevOps. JNCDS, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent experience
- Experience in handling Linux systems, preferably Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, and container management through Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with virtualization technologies preferably KVM, VMware
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, OpenStack
- Interest and ability to quickly learn and ramp-up on new, frameworks, and technologies

Desirable Knowledge or Experience
- Distributed platforms and stream processing using Kafka or similar systems
- Network Assurance Systems and Service Provider NOC Operations
- Fundamentals of SDN and NFV (Network function virtualization).
- Understanding future telecom architectures around Virtualization (ETSI NFV ISG, ONF, ONAP etc.)
- Software development skills, Python, JAVA, BPNM and Neo4J preferred
- Good grasp of and exposure to the OSS and Business Systems space (TMF, ITIL, ETOM, Inventory, Service Assurance etc.)
