Strategic Partnerships Intern

**Position Title**: Strategic Partnerships Intern**Organization**: Samayu**Location**: Remote (with occasional in-person engagements as and when required)**Duration**: 6 months

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Strategic Partnerships Intern to support Samayu's efforts to elevate our presence in the health and environmental sectors. The intern will work closely with our partnerships team and leadership to build relationships, identify key opportunities, and represent Samayu in high-impact spaces.

This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with elite actors, develop thought leadership, and contribute to positioning Samayu as a critical player in addressing interconnected global challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Research and Outreach**:

- Identify and research key events, and individuals in the health and environmental sectors for potential partnerships.
- Assist in establishing initial contacts and representing Samayu in these spaces.
- **Event Tracking and Representation**:

- Track critical events and conferences aligned with Samayu’s areas of interest viz. One Health, Poultry and Inland Aquaculture, Environmental health, Food system reform etc., and ensure Samayu’s presence.
- Assist in preparing for events, including crafting key messaging, presentations, and talking points.
- **Thought Leadership Development**:

- Collaborate on writing thought leadership pieces, including abstracts, articles, op-eds, and blog posts, that align with Samayu’s mission and strategic goals.
- Work on pitching these pieces to relevant sectoral media outlets.
- **Partnership Cultivation**:

- Support in building and nurturing relationships with elite actors, including sectoral leaders, influencers, and organizations.
- Help identify synergies with potential partners to advance shared goals and drive impactful collaborations.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Maintain a database of key organizations, partners, and events.
- Track progress and outcomes related to partnership activities and provide regular updates to the team.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Environmental Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a keen eye for identifying trends and opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing articles, reports, or similar content.
- Passionate about advancing justice for animals, people, and the planet.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
