**Continental Commis Chef Job Description**

**Cravin' Pantry** is seeking a highly motivated and skilled **Continental Commis Chef** to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Commis Chef specializing in continental cuisine, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting exceptional dishes that delight our guests. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow your culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking continental dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
- Assist in the preparation of sauces, stocks, and other basic components of continental cuisine.
- Plate and garnish dishes according to the Chef de Partie's instructions.
- Ensure that workstations are clean, organized, and properly sanitized.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role, preferably with a focus on continental cuisine.
- Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques and culinary principles.
- Knowledge of continental cuisine, including classic dishes and regional specialties.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
