A storage and backup administrator manages an organization's data storage and backup systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
- This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting storage infrastructure, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and monitoring system performance.
- Key Responsibilities:

- Storage Management: Designing, configuring, and maintaining storage systems (SAN, NAS, etc.), managing storage capacity, and optimizing performance.
- Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures, scheduling and monitoring backups, and ensuring data can be restored in case of failure or disaster.
- Disaster Recovery: Planning and testing disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring storage and backup systems for performance, capacity, and health, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Security: Ensuring data security and integrity through access controls, encryption, and other security measures.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of storage and backup configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Collaboration: Working with other IT teams (system administrators, DBAs, etc.) to ensure storage and backup solutions meet business needs.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, etc.), backup and recovery solutions, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Troubleshooting:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve storage and backup issues.
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Scripting/Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., in storage or backup technologies) may be required or preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a storage or backup administration role is typically required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹339,865.91 - ₹1,411,681.75 per year
