Job Description: As a Senior Storage & Backup Administrator, his role is to be expertise on the below platform,Administration on Dell & Hitachi storage platforms.Administration on Veeam Backup & Replication server.Installation, configuration & administration of Synology NAS device.Creation & maintain blob storage on Azure for DR backup & administering the same.Knowledge on VMware ESXI platform is must.Knowledge on Windows server platform is must.Knowledge on Networking is must.
- Responsibilities: Installing, maintaining, and managing various storage systems including SAN, NAS, and Synology NAS.Periodically monitoring the resources utilized on the storage and planning for hardware upgradation/migration if required.Troubleshooting storage hardware failures and finding solutions to optimize the existing storage infrastructure.Configuring WWN & iSCSI on storage & servers and creating volumes and folders as required.Scheduling & maintaining snapshots & clones on storage.Configuring a backup policy for new backup clients and managing storage and backup policy changes through the change request process.Managing and supporting storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning, and zoning new servers using SAN switches.Identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.Installing and configuring storage technology such as SAN, NFS, FC, NAS, ISCSI, and RAID.Implementing and administering VSAN on VMware infrastructure.Maintaining backup copies on both primary & secondary sites and creating & maintaining a document on a disaster recovery plan.Periodically evaluating the DR plan and confirming the RTO & RPO is working as planned & documented.Creating and maintaining Azure blob storage for secondary backups and restoring backups from primary/secondary to on-premises infrastructure.Assigning & maintaining SAN IP subnets and writing a batch file to automate the backup process if required.
- Requirements: Expertise in Dell and Hitachi storage platforms, Veeam Backup & Replication server, Synology NAS device and Azure blob storage administration.Knowledge of VMware ESXI and Windows server platforms.Knowledge of networking.Veeam certified engineer, Dell EMC certified professional and Hitachi administration professional (Storage Administration).
