**Job Purpose**:
The innovative and effective deployment of data and analytics is key to the success of companies today. AkzoNobel is no exception as we seek to embed the improved understanding of data across the company. Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize the use of data within our Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), Marketing and Sales, Finance, HR and Sourcing Functions have been services delivered from our MDM Global Organisation over the last few years. We need support in these areas with a strong focus on Innovate, Plan, Make, Deliver (IPMD), and Source to Pay (StP) domains. For these reasons, GBS Master Data Services requires a Data Domain Expert to support the delivery of our R&D, ISC, and StP functions’ roadmap.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for (or supporting) the activities done by the CoE for R&D, ISC, and StP in alignment with the MDM Roadmap.
- Drives R&D, ISC and StP standardized End to End Processes and Tools around MDM to improve Quality of Delivery, Optimize Cost to Serve, Control & Compliance, and Enhance Customer Experience.
- Working together with stakeholders on new dashboard requirements and translating them in technical requirements to address and hand over the build to the responsible person in the team.
- Monitor and improve data quality and processes based on the existing Power BI dashboards.
- Responsible for data monitoring, data analysis & data cleansing.
- Defining data standards, cleansing (Get Clean) and monitoring (Dashboard/KPIs) of the data quality.
- Continued focus on standardization and optimisation of data reports and dashboards.
- Support the MDS CoE Team Lead to build an R&D, ISC and StP MDM roadmap.
- Support the scope and activities of projects and processes and ensure execution.
- Responsible for (or support) implementing proper preventive/detective controls for the CRUD activities of MDS Operations.
- Manage escalation process of R&D, ISC and StP issues or support the resolution of issues raised by business to the CoE.
- Act as a change agent and communicator for MDS, enabling continuous commitment for and awareness of MDM.
- IM touchpoint, driving R&D, ISC and StP master data standardization, organizational and system alignment.
- Continued focus on innovation and standardization to drive down total cost-to-serve and enhance customer satisfaction through improved quality of processes in R&D, ISC and StP domains.
- Foster communication and teamwork within, and across, organizational boundaries
- Ability to analyze, design and implement the need for MDM in high complexity landscapes, both from system perspective and organizational perspective for the R&D, ISC and StP domains.

**Experience**:

- Graduation or Post-Graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years’ overall experience with 3-4 years’ experience in MDM-related function, supporting R&D, ISC & StP
- SAP experience required in product (Material) and Vendor master data domains
- Knowledge of master data, transactional data, and an understanding of SAP manufacturing and sourcing data objects, i.e., Material Master, Bill of Materials, Production Version, Routing, PIR, Source List, etc.
- Experience with SAP (ECC, S4HANA, Fiori) is a plus.
- Experience with the SAP system (technical tables/ Fields) is a must.
- Experience in data quality, data governance, and data cleansing is required
- Ability to deliver quality work within strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities and acting with a sense of urgency
- Very good communication skills, must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with stakeholders, the external teams, and with internal teams
- Continuous Improvement focused, relevant CI certification is a bonus
- Experience in Project Management, with supporting certification preferred
- Experience in complex IT system environments as a key user
- Experience in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders, including service providers for both IT as organizational/process capabilities
