Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve sales/profit goals and Lead banquet staff during eventsUtilize Salesforce daily to build and maintain an events prospect database, track all communications and activities with those prospects, and record all sales madeRespond to prospect inquiries, conduct tours and meetings for prospective events, and sell eventsOversee the development/preparation of contracts for all banquets/weddingsWork with General Manager to determine selling prices and menus for eventsCoordinate with Chef and General Manager to plan menus, product and supply orders, and staff in a timely fashionSchedule all banquet event functions, price and prepare event proposals, collect signed contracts and deposits.Provide excellent food and beverage service for all eventsEnsure satisfaction by communicating with the client throughout the event regarding any changes, substitutions or special requests; assisting banquet staff throughout the event as needed (refilling drinks, delivering food, bussing tables, etc.); and following up with event host at the conclusion of the eventFull compliance with Department of Health and Liquor Control Commission regulationsHelp develop banquet sales budgets and marketing plansParticipate in outside activities that are judged appropriate by the General Manager to enhance the presence of the property in the local communityPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Profile RequirementsAt least two years of banquet sales coordinator experience.Customer service experience in a hotel or country club.Exhibits a high level of professionalism, with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Exception organization skills and attention to detail.Hospitality career focus is a plus, must be driven, self-motivated and dedicated.Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to Member/Guests satisfaction.Computer knowledge is a must. Microsoft, Excel, and either POS systems or catering programs, knowledge of preparing invoices and filing systems is a plus.The position is not limited to those duties listed. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of the club.Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 - 12 hrs.) Some bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting (up to 50lbs) will be required.Must be available to work nights, weekends, and Holidays.
