Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes following recipes and restaurant standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.Manage kitchen staff, providing training, direction, and motivation to maintain smooth workflow and high standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring food safety regulations are followed.
- Handle restaurant orders promptly and efficiently, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service.
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies, and manage inventory to avoid shortages.
- Monitor food quality and adjust recipes to suit customer preferences and ensure consistency.
- Assist in menu planning by developing new Continental recipes and seasonal specials.
- Follow health and safety standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Chef, particularly in Continental cuisine (2-3 years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff.
- Creative and innovative, with a passion for experimenting with new dishes and flavors.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
