Night Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Night Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all night shift operations within the facility, ensuring that production targets are met, safety standards are maintained, and quality control procedures are followed. This role involves supervising a team of employees, coordinating activities, and resolving issues that arise during the night shift. The Night Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies during non-standard business hours.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Shift Supervision**:

- Oversee and manage the night shift team, ensuring that all employees are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on production needs and priorities.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and productivity of night shift employees.
- **Production Management**:

- Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured according to quality standards.
- Coordinate with the day shift supervisor to ensure seamless transition and continuity of operations.
- Identify and address any bottlenecks or issues that may impact production output.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses that occur during the night shift.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all products meet quality specifications and standards before they leave the facility.
- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain consistent product quality.
- **Employee Management**:

- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to night shift employees.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to promote development and growth.
- **Reporting & Communication**:

- Prepare and submit shift reports detailing production output, quality issues, safety incidents, and any other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with other supervisors, managers, and departments to ensure alignment on production goals and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, production data, and other relevant information.
- **Problem Solving & Decision Making**:

- Identify and resolve operational issues that arise during the night shift, making quick decisions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials and supplies are available to meet production needs.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to order additional materials as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems under pressure.
- Experience with shift work and willingness to work night shifts.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office and production management software.
