About the Role:
Everestek is looking for Cloud Operations DBA to support cloud operations team of our existing client.

The Operations function is concerned with all aspects of service delivery management of the client’s Cloud for our customers’ pre-production and production environments. This includes up time, deployment, administration, and technology selection. We have an opening for a Cloud Database Operations Engineer within the Cloud Operations team reporting to the Operations Manager - Service Delivery.

The Cloud Database Operations Engineer is a functional expert in the field of relational database engineering and administration as it relates to the business objectives.

The Cloud Database Operations Engineer will monitor, test, troubleshoot, analyze, and assist management in driving database operational procedures for the Cloud infrastructure.

The Cloud Database Operation Engineer will participate in system reviews and all deployment-related activities for approved projects, system improvements, and ad-hoc or emergency requests.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

- Designs, develops, and tests effective, maintainable, high quality SQL code in a timely fashion
- Understands existing and target state architecture, data events, and data flows
- Adheres to established coding and architectural standards
- Profiles data as input to source to target transformation rules and provide data mapping artifacts
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to concisely express solutions/ideas verbally or via written text and diagrams
- Performs scheduled, ad-hoc, and emergency tasks as required
- Ensures the appropriate adherence to client’s inter-departmental processes and procedures
- Provides proper status notifications and updates
- Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently
- Rapidly analyses data sets from different sources; identifies data relationships, business rules, data characteristics and business process gaps
- Performing regular maintenance requests in the environments as part of continuous delivery of new functionality and services
- Installing updates and patches as needed to ensure the health and integrity of our infrastructure and systems (environments)
- Enforcing the appropriate security compliance in Customer environments as agreed with the client’s Information Security Council
- Monitoring the effect of changes and responding to alerts; including investigating for root cause
- Contribute to our team knowledge base
- Work directly with customers, operations and engineering to research, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues in a timely manner
- Clearly and succinctly document communications with customers within our case management system
- Ensure customer satisfaction through outstanding customer service and high-quality technical responses
- Effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
- Provide input on automation, and a systematic approach to database configuration, deployment and maintenance and recovery as well as continuing to improve the performance and reliability of the overall service
- Work closely with internal teams on new features and their impact on the database operations
- Work as part of a global team to provide 24×7 coverage
- Familiarity with core concepts of security incident response, e.g., the typical phases of response, vulnerabilities vs. threats vs. actors, Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), etc.
- Experience investigating security issues and / or performance and / or complex operational issues on AWS and Linux using/ analysing system and logs where appropriate.

- 5 plus years of experience in Oracle database administration, engineering, or development
- Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle, data mining, and pattern recognition in large datasets, including ability to develop customized queries to successfully complete tasks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Creative problem-solving skills with positive, action

- Ability to package and present analytical findings in an

effective and intuitive manner which explains clearly the direction and recommendation of the information
- Experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems
