The Inventory Executive is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet business demands while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. This role involves tracking inventory, reconciling stock discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse. The executive works closely with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory Control**:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability across all storage locations.
- Perform regular stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and variances.
- **Stock Replenishment**:
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels based on demand forecasts.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for stock replenishment as needed.
- Track shipments and ensure timely receipt of goods into the warehouse.
- **Data Management**:
- Update and maintain inventory records in inventory management software.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, movement, and trends.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions including receipts, issues, and returns.
- **Vendor & Supplier Coordination**:
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of inventory.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for stock purchases.
- Track and resolve issues related to supplier deliveries, such as delays or incorrect shipments.
- **Warehouse Operations Support**:
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage the storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure that inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized for easy access.
- Implement efficient stock rotation practices (FIFO, LIFO) to minimize waste.
- **Inventory Optimization**:
- Analyze demand trends, sales forecasts, and lead times to optimize stock levels.
- Monitor slow-moving or obsolete inventory and make recommendations for clearance or disposal.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce carrying costs.
- **Compliance & Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with internal inventory control policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory data and documentation.
- Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, stock movement, and audits.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- **Educational Qualification**: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- **Skills Required**:
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques (FIFO, LIFO, etc.).
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in inventory management.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
