**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Baking and Production**:

- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of high-quality baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, and desserts.
- Develop new, innovative recipes and menu items to cater to customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all bakery items.
- Maintain production schedules to meet daily demand without compromising on quality or freshness.
- Experiment with flavors, ingredients, and techniques to create unique baked products.

**Kitchen Management**:

- Oversee daily bakery kitchen operations, ensuring smooth functioning and productivity.
- Supervise and train bakery staff, including junior chefs, kitchen assistants, and helpers.
- Monitor food preparation processes to ensure adherence to recipes, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Manage bakery equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.

**Inventory and Cost Management**:

- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; order stock while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of perishable and non-perishable goods.
- Work with suppliers to source quality ingredients at competitive prices.
- Track food costs and portion sizes to maintain profitability.

**Quality Control and Safety**:

- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations in the bakery kitchen.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Comply with health and safety standards and maintain necessary records for audits.
- Ensure proper handling of allergens and dietary requirements.

**Menu and Product Development**:

- Collaborate with management to plan and update bakery menus based on seasonal trends and customer feedback.
- Innovate new bakery products and adapt recipes to meet customer demands, such as gluten-free, vegan, or sugar-free options.
- Create special items for holidays, events, or customized orders.

**Customer Service and Presentation**:

- Ensure all baked goods are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to meet customer needs and address special requests.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and consistency to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
