**Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Bakery Chef to lead our bakery team and oversee the production of a variety of baked goods. The Bakery Chef will be responsible for recipe development, menu planning, staff supervision, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all bakery products. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing baked goods.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Menu Development**:
- Develop and update menus for the bakery, including a wide range of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Create new recipes and innovative flavor combinations to attract and retain customers.
- **Production Management**:
- Oversee all aspects of bakery production, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking.
- Ensure that all baked goods are prepared according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
- **Ingredient Sourcing**:
- Source and select high-quality ingredients for use in bakery products, including flour, butter, sugar, and flavorings.
- Establish relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and consistent ingredient availability.
- **Staff Training and Supervision**:
- Recruit, train, and supervise bakery staff, including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
- **Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular quality control checks on bakery products, including taste tests, visual inspections, and texture evaluations.
- Address any issues or concerns related to product quality, consistency, or presentation.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Manage inventory levels of bakery ingredients and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
- Minimize waste and spoilage by monitoring inventory turnover and implementing efficient storage practices.
- **Customer Service**:
- Interact with customers to understand their preferences and dietary needs, and accommodate special requests as needed.
- Provide recommendations and advice on bakery products, ingredients, and menu options.
- **Sanitation and Safety**:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area, including equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
**Qualifications**:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in baking and pastry arts.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Bakery Manager, or similar role in a bakery or pastry shop.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
**Skills**:
- Excellent culinary skills and creativity in recipe development and menu planning.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
