We are currently hiring fresh engineering graduate for Database Administrator position who will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. Your responsibility as a Database Administrator (DBA) will be the performance, integrity, and security of a database. You'll be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

- Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise.
- Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
- Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
- Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of system crash.
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
- Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
- Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.

Education qualification: A bachelor’s degree in engineering in computer science or equivalent, masters is a plus.

Minimum years of work experience: 0 to 6 months

Required skills:

- Proficiency in relational database management system such as SQL Server
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and responsible
- Up to date with trends and developments in database administration.
- Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, and customers/stakeholders as needed or directed
- Positive attitude, able to work well with others
- Ability and willingness to learn new concepts

Preferred Skills:

- SQL Server certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with Azure concepts is a plus
