**Title: Database Administrator.**

**Location: Bangalore.**
- We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our Database Operations team at Itron’s Global Managed Services._

**Your responsibilities**
- Install, maintain, upgrade & 24x7 support of production environments
- Performance tuning
- SQL Server installs, upgrades and patches/service packs
- Hands on in daily operations and addressing critical issues
- Providing database support for the deployment team
- Peer reviews and technical documentation
- Review performance and capacity trends and provide recommendations
- Change and incident management

**What you need to fill in this position**
- At least years 8 years of experience with MSSQL databases
- At least 5 years of 24X7 support
- Very good understanding of Database internals and performance tuning
- Proficient in TSQL
- Proficient in Windows Administration
- Proficient in database performance tuning in MSSQL
- Self-motivated and has the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred

**A huge plus, if you have one of these**
- Experienced in automation using Powershell, ansible, or any other scripting language
- Experienced in Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, Oracle Data guard, RMAN & ASM
