**About This Role**
- The Officer, Finance will ensure financial management, budgeting, reporting, and compliance for assigned clusters within ChildFund India. The role includes working with Direct Implementation (DI) locations and Local Partners (LPs) to maintain financial integrity, provide technical support, and ensure adherence to ChildFund’s policies, donor requirements, and statutory compliances.
**Required Experience and Education**
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the development sector.
- Knowledge of Indian financial regulations, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in financial software (Tally, E-fin) and MS Excel.
- Experience with budget development and expense monitoring, financial reporting, and grants management.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Ensure finance functions comply with ChildFund International’s policies and statutory requirements in India.
- Review financial documents, TDS deductions, PAN/Aadhar link status, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor fund transfers, prepare and review monthly fund requests, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct periodic visits to Local Partners for financial monitoring and capacity building.
- Process payments for DI locations, grant projects, and staff travel claims.
- Review and support annual and mid-year budgets.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including MFR, BVA, and fund requests.
- Provide capacity building support to field finance staff and Local Partners.
