**What Are We Doing?**

At **The Apprentice Project (TAP)**, we are on a mission to make **education more equitable, effective, and future-ready for children in government and low-income schools across India**. As part of this mission, we are engaging with education ecosystem stakeholders at multiple levels to co-create systemic impact.

The **SCERT Internship** is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of public systems, policy, and education. This role is designed to support both TAP’s ongoing engagement with the Social Science department of SCERT and assist the SCERT team in their internal operations and documentation. It offers an exceptional window into how public-private partnerships in education operate, and the intern will play a key role in deepening TAP’s institutional relationships and driving on-ground support at the state level.

**Who We’re Looking For**

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual passionate about public education systems and governance. As a SCERT Intern, you will assist with administrative and program-related support for the Social Science department, act as a bridge between TAP and SCERT, and ensure seamless documentation and communication flow.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build first-hand experience in government partnerships, stakeholder coordination, and education policy at the state level.

**About The Role**

**_ Location_** - Pune (State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT))

**_ Time Commitment - _**25 - 30 hours per week

**_ Reporting to_** - Associate Senior Manager - Program Implementation

**_ Compensation_** - ₹5000 per month

**_ Duration_**: 6 Months

**_ Type_**: Part-Time

**What You’ll Do**

**At SCERT Level**
- Maintain documentation of training sessions, internal meetings, and communications within the Social Science department.
- Assist in the logístical planning and coordination of SCERT-led workshops and events.
- Support in data entry, translation, and digitization of reports and other documentation.
- Draft internal reports, presentations, and summaries for SCERT officials.
- Liaise with district-level officers and other departments for inter-agency coordination.

**At TAP Level**
- Share regular updates and insights from SCERT with TAP’s Program Implementation team.
- Assist in scheduling meetings and tracking file movements or approvals related to TAP programming.
- Strengthen TAP’s visibility by sharing key documents, impact stories, and department updates.
- Identify opportunities for cross-department collaboration that align with TAP’s offerings and impact.
- Conduct one official field visit per week to education stakeholders such as DIETs, Zilla Parishads, PMC, or PCMC to:

- Build familiarity and rapport with field-level government officers.
- Understand local departmental priorities.
- Represent TAP in a courteous and professional manner.

**Who You Are?**
- You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
- You are fluent in Marathi and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- You have a keen eye for documentation and accuracy.
- You are comfortable working in government environments and with senior officials.
- You are willing to travel locally (1-2 times per week) for official stakeholder visits.
- You bring professionalism, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills to every interaction.
