**Position Overview**

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented professional for the role of **Assistant General Manager (AGM) / Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Energy (Facultative Reinsurance)**. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical know-how of the energy sector and proven experience in underwriting facultative risks. You will be responsible for assessing, structuring, negotiating, and placing complex energy risks across traditional and renewable sectors.

This is a high-impact role that combines technical risk assessment, strategic reinsurance placement, stakeholder management, and market-facing responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Underwriting & Risk Assessment**:
Analyze and underwrite facultative reinsurance risks across energy segments including oil & gas, thermal/hydro/nuclear power plants, solar farms, wind farms, and other renewables.
Evaluate engineering data, technical submissions, site inspection reports, and historical claims data to determine exposure and risk acceptability.
- **Placement & Negotiation**:
Structure, negotiate, and finalize reinsurance placements with both domestic and international reinsurance partners. Ensure optimal terms and comprehensive coverage aligned with business strategy.
- **Stakeholder Coordination**:
Collaborate closely with internal departments such as actuarial, claims, legal, and finance to ensure 360-degree risk evaluation and seamless policy issuance.
- **Market Engagement**:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and industry stakeholders. Stay abreast of market dynamics, pricing trends, and capacity shifts in the reinsurance industry.
- **Portfolio Monitoring**:
Track portfolio performance, analyze profitability, and implement pricing/policy recommendations. Identify opportunities for improving underwriting efficiency and risk mitigation.
- **Industry Awareness**:

- **Education**:
Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering, Risk Management, Insurance, or related fields.
Professional certifications such as **ACII, CPCU, FIII** are highly desirable.
- **Experience**:
8 to 12 years of experience in energy underwriting or facultative reinsurance, preferably with exposure to both conventional and renewable energy risks.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong technical knowledge of energy assets and engineering risks
- Expertise in facultative reinsurance structures and placement
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Proficient in industry tools, MS Excel, and reinsurance platforms
