**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day financial activities including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and procurement.
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and financial regulations.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and forecasts for university management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans for academic departments, administrative units, and research projects.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support budget decision-making and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with university financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard university assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and statements for university leadership, committees, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess financial performance, trends, and variances against budgets.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Implement audit recommendations and improve financial processes as needed.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives.
- Participate in university committees and working groups related to financial planning, policies, and initiatives.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting within a university or similar educational institution.
- Knowledge of higher education financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Budgeting: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
