**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Procurement Management**:

- Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies required for highway construction projects.
- Negotiate prices and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain and update a list of approved suppliers and vendors.
- **Inventory Control**:

- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials at the head office and project sites.
- Ensure accurate inventory records through regular stock audits and updates in inventory management software.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to avoid material shortages.
- **Vendor and Supplier Coordination**:

- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability and quality.
- Address and resolve vendor-related issues, including disputes and delayed deliveries.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare purchase orders, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and related procurement documentation.
- Generate inventory and purchase reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations for procurement and storage.
- **Budget and Cost Management**:

- Assist in preparing budgets for material procurement.
- Track expenditures and identify areas for cost optimization.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Verify the quality and specifications of materials delivered against purchase orders.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to address any discrepancies.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure the safe handling and storage of materials as per regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storage environment.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to forecast material requirements.
- Coordinate with accounts and finance departments for timely payment processing.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in the highway construction or infrastructure sector.

- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, Tally).
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
