We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef de Partie to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations. Their main responsibility is to manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as sauces, pastries, grill, or appetizers. Here's a typical job description for a Chef de Partie:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Food Preparation**: Prepare and cook dishes according to standard recipes and specifications.
- **Station Management**: Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections of ingredients and equipment to ensure freshness and proper functionality.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
- **Training and Supervision**: Train and supervise junior staff members, ensuring they understand and follow proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
- **Menu Development**: Contribute ideas for menu development and improvement, including creating new dishes and updating existing ones.
- **Food Safety and Hygiene**: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
**Requirements**:
- **Culinary Education**: Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a similar role.
- **Culinary Skills**: Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, with a strong knowledge of different cuisines.
- **Organization**: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- **Team Player**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- **Attention to Detail**: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure during busy periods.
**Working Conditions**:
- **Hours**: Typically involves long and irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- **Environment**: Work is performed in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Pay: From ₹300,000.00 per year
