**Job Title**:Engineer - Surveillance: Machine learning and Integration

**Location**:Pune, India

**Role Description**:
You will be a key member of the machine learning and data engineering squad that is part of the Transaction Surveillance Tribe.

Transaction Surveillance is an integral part of Cash Management and has been established as a first line of defence function to build appropriate controls to ensure regulatory compliance. Surveillance machine learning and data engineering function in the transaction surveillance area, offers AI-ML as a service which combines data from Payment systems and Surveillance providers to automate manual decision making and improve operational efficiency. Surveillance machine learning and data engineering squad assists in
- Define Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning use case(s) for automatic decision making and trend analysis based on data available
- Capture & Resolve data inconsistencies.
- Help to respond to auditory and regulatory bodies request for data (with different geography, payment, customer, and product dimensions)

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Help in designing an optimal workflow combining automated and manual process.
- As part of a development team, collaborate with other team members to understand requirements, analyses and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production (in DevOps style).
- Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution.
- Lead a small team of engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Mentor junior team members.

**Experience**:
Has provided technical leadership to a team of 6 to 10 people in at least two such projects of high complexity.

**Skills (Must **)**:

- Advanced knowledge of data schemas like XML, JSON etc and APIs and frameworks used to process such data.
- Demonstrable proof of having helped in integrating/ plumbing work to build data pipelines (data extraction, cleansing and processing - extended also to Machine Learning) (must).
- Proficiency in SQL queries etc.

**Skills (Nice to have)**:

- Knowledge of Hadoop (optimizing queries in Impala / Hive).
- Knowledge of Streaming like Kafka etc.
- Python, Spacy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Google TensorFlow etc and Machine learning knowledge

**Methodology / Process / Domain Expertise / Soft Skills**:

- Comfortable to work with agile software methodology / agile working teams (must).
- Exposure to Confluence / Jira agile tools - a plus.
- Ability to work in big teams with diverse cultural backgrounds across multiple geographies (must).
- Knowledge of finance domain / banks / payments standards a plus (not a must).
- Proof of having owned technical topics, teams (from a technical leadership angle) and owning topics end to end (from a DevOps perspective).
