You will be a key member of the machine learning and data engineering squad that is part of the Transaction Surveillance Tribe.

Transaction Surveillance is an integral part of Cash Management and has been established as a first line of defence function to build appropriate controls to ensure regulatory compliance. Surveillance machine learning and data engineering function in the transaction surveillance area, offers AI-ML as a service which combines data from Payment systems and Surveillance providers to automate manual decision making and improve operational efficiency. Surveillance machine learning and data engineering squad assists in
- Define Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning use case(s) for automatic decision making and trend analysis based on data available
- Capture & Resolve data inconsistencies.
- Help to respond to auditory and regulatory bodies request for data (with different geography, payment, customer, and product dimensions).

**Your key responsibilities**
- Work within surveillance tribe to design and implement modern, scalable machine learning and data engineering solutions using a range of new and emerging technologies
- Work to develop and maintain highly automated data pipelines
- Data labelling, train machine learning models and deploy them (non-cloud and Cloud).
- Help in designing dashboards based on insights from data for business and operations.
- As part of a development team, collaborate with other team members to understand requirements, analyses and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production (in DevOps style).
- Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution.

**Experience**:
At least 3 years experience. At least having worked on one big project of 2 years duration in the data engineering, data analysis space (Machine learning a plus) being exposed and involved in all SDLC phases (Conception, requirements, design, development, test, and rollout).

Demonstrable experience in analyzing data in a certain domain, relationship between data domain and business process (front to back), analysis of data (also with technical tools) and converting the data into actionable insights (reports, dashboards). Having worked on at least one machine learning project of medium complexity (which went also live).

**Skills (To have)**:

- Advanced proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in SQL queries etc.
- Knowledge of machine learning (NLP, Neural Networks, data clustering, Name Entity recognition). Good exposure to any one of Spacy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Google TensorFlow (normal or cloud environment)
- Working knowledge of working with shell scripts / python/ Perl (anyone) for automating data extraction and refinement tasks.

**Skills (Nice to have)**:

- Ability to analyze data with excel sheets.
- Knowledge of Hadoop (optimizing queries in Impala / Hive).
- Knowledge of Apache Spark etc.

**Methodology / Process / Domain Expertise / Soft Skills**:

- Comfortable to work with agile software methodology / agile working teams (must).
- Exposure to Confluence / Jira agile tools - a plus.
- Ability to work in big teams with diverse cultural backgrounds across multiple geographies (must).
- Knowledge of finance domain / banks / payments standards a plus (not a must).
- Proof of having owned topics (from a DevOps perspective) a plus.
