**Role Summary**
The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen independently. This includes preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as per the kitchen standards, ensuring consistency and quality, and supporting junior kitchen staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee a specific kitchen section such as hot, cold, pastry, or bakery.
- Maintain mise en place for assigned station and ensure timely preparation of dishes.
- Ensure all food preparation meets the company’s standards in taste, portion, and hygiene.
- Supervise and support Commis and junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen section.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and waste management.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute new ideas, especially in pastry or bakery roles.
**Skills and Requirements**
- Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience.
- Proven expertise in one or more kitchen sections.
- Ability to lead and train junior staff effectively.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Creative, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is a plus.
