About the role

The Product Manager (Legal) within the Enterprise Applications / HR, Legal & Compliance Systems team, which is part of the D&T CTO organisation, will work closely with Legal business teams, Tech Product & Service teams, third party vendors and service providers to ensure proper functional design, implementation, and support for Tech solutions and first-class tech enablement, standardisation, continuous improvement, and compliance of end-to-end Legal Tech functional operability.

The Product Manager (Legal) will be accountable for working across the product team to define, implement and optimize our Legal systems (e.g., eDiscovery) & any related systems. They will possess strong Legal business process & tech functional experience to be able to provide technical guidance and advice to the Senior Product Manager Legal & Compliance, Product Directors/Managers & Experts and Legal business process / delivery owners to ensure that Legal solution functionality is fit for purpose, meets the priorities & requirements from our stakeholders (e.g. alignment to business process & solution architecture design principles) and deliver value to our end users. They will have technical experience in their area specific to their domain, be accountable for technical artifacts (such as system requirements, Tech continuity plans) and ensure full compliance with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements. They will also be responsible for working with Service Teams to manage change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance.

This pivotal role will be a part of our Business Enterprise Applications Technology team, reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager Legal & Compliance.

Qualifications and Skills- Product Vision, Strategy & alignment - A solid understanding of market trends and the product's role in the business. They actively contribute to shaping the product's direction and making strategic decisions. While they may require some guidance, they effectively communicate the product vision to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.- Prioritization & roadmap planning - Colleagues at this level possess advanced skills in prioritization and roadmap planning. They excel in setting clear and achievable OKRs for their team or tribe and tracking progress effectively. They can balance competing priorities across business needs, tech strategy, and best practice engineering to create a prioritized roadmap that maximizes value delivery. They demonstrate agility in responding to changing circumstances and can effectively communicate roadmap decisions to stakeholders.- Delivery & execution - They possess a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and can ensure on-time and on-budget delivery with a focus on quality and efficiency. They can independently manage projects and coordinate with other tech teams at a Tribe level to address dependencies effectively.- Measuring Success & product Evaluation - Proficient product managers demonstrate solid skills in measuring success and product evaluation.
