**Description**:As a Chef Trainee, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, working under the guidance and mentorship of experienced chefs. This role is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and knowledge in various aspects of culinary arts. You will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the creation of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Preparation and Cooking**:Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes as per the restaurant’s menu.
Learn techniques for cooking, plating, and presenting dishes.
**Kitchen Operations**: Understand and adhere to kitchen safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Participate in kitchen setup, cleaning, and maintenance.
**Ingredient Management**:Assist in the selection, handling, and storage of ingredients.
Understand the importance of ingredient quality and freshness.
**Recipe Learning**:Learn and follow standard recipes and contribute to developing new recipes.
Understand flavor profiles and culinary techniques.
**Team Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
**Feedback and Improvement**:Receive and implement feedback from senior chefs for continuous improvement.
Engage in self-assessment and express eagerness to learn and grow.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop as a professional chef.
- Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in a hot environment.
