Supply Quality Supervisor

**JOB DUTIES
**Major Role**: - Accountable for operating and monitoring the Global Supply Network, as designed, to meet the defined quality targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations, collaborating with team, business partners and suppliers as the Relationship Manager for all GSND, and resolving facility specific supplier quality issues

Reporting directly to the Supply Network Facility Manager and will be accountable for implementing the supplier quality strategy, tools, procedures both from a proactive and reactive perspective for a facility to support operations. Work with the Supply Network Quality Engineer to conduct quality investigations to determine root cause, develop and implement solution plans for our supply network.

**Strategy**:

- The incumbent is accountable for the supply quality at that facility conforms to the global quality processes and reporting to the facility management on QMS adherence for the supplier network. The role is responsible for helping to collaborate on setting priorities, for the team to achieve the facility supplier quality targets are met. The incumbent in this position is also responsible for overseeing the team in execution of the GSND processes, plans and strategy that support the facility’s quality or related processes related to Cost of Poor Quality, PPAP are Completed, quality certifications etc. The incumbent must also ensure alignment to CPS (Caterpillar Production System) principles.

**Leadership**:

- Manage the Facility Supplier Quality expectations for Global Supply Network Division, to deliver benefits required to sustain a competitive advantage. The role will require a good communicator capable of keeping the operations & quality mangers and GSND fully informed of progress and working closely with both to ensure alignment of qualities strategies and manage expectations, keeping the customer fully informed of progress, ensuring all requirements are met.

**Other responsibilities**
- Lead the CPPD discussions for Procurement and ensure print/non print requirements into deliverables collaborating with SDEs & Engineering teams.
- Govern the APQP projects working with SDEs to ensure the deliverables like development timelines, PPAPs on time, PPAP effectiveness & closure of myNPI issues on time.
- Collaborate with various facility SQE teams to sustain & improve quality performance
- Lead SQEs to ensure post PPAP governance activities like process audits, STOP capability, Supplier quality performance, Engineering changes etc.
- Deploy quality framework with supply base to ensure sustainable quality for the local & export markets -AQE/PPM, PCN, CAVe programs, PCN audits & compliance etc.
- Coach & provide technical expertise to the SDEs on materials/HT/casting/forging etc.
- Function as a lead auditor for weld & paint certification etc
- Coordinate & lead with SDE on failure analysis related to CPI / 2MIS issues

**Background and Experience required**
- Previous purchasing experience required
- Min 10 + yrs relevant Experience in leading the team, BIQ, APQP, PPAP, RCCA, PCN & CAV programs
- Bachelor’s degree In Engineering (full time) with relevant experience required
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Previous 6 Sigma Greenbelt/Black Belt experience preferred
- Knowledge of Quality, Lean manufacturing, an understanding of lean principles is required
- Incumbent must have well-developed communication skills.
- Travel : 30 - 40%
