Job Title: Quality Supervisor – PVC Pipe Manufacturing (Night Shift)

Location: Vellamadai, Coimbatore (in person with in 10km)Department: Quality Control / Production Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Salary: 15K-20K

Job Summary:

The Quality Supervisor will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities across the PVC pipe manufacturing process. This includes monitoring raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with BIS/ISO standards and company specifications. The role also involves coordinating with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily quality checks for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, and internal quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing using vernier calipers, pressure testing machines, and other measuring instruments.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test certificates.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conforming products.
  • Coordinate with production teams to minimize rejection rates and enhance process efficiency.
  • Conduct calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Train production staff on quality awareness, procedures, and standards.
  • Liaise with external agencies (e.g., BIS auditors) during plant audits.
  • Support new product development (NPD) with quality validation and testing

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in quality control within PVC/CPVC/HDPE pipe manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with testing procedures: Hydro-static pressure test, Density, Impact test, etc.
  • Knowledge of raw materials (PVC resin, stabilizers, lubricants, fillers) and extrusion processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
