**JOB SUMMARY**:
The General Manager for Retail Sales in the Lighting Industry is responsible for overseeing and managing the retail sales division. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the effective functioning of the retail sales team. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving business objectives, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organization within the lighting industry.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Sales Strategy and Planning**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.

**Team Leadership**:

- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing retail sales team.
- Set clear performance objectives, provide mentorship, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

**Retail Operations**:

- Oversee day-to-day retail operations, ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, implement effective merchandising strategies, and manage product displays.

**Client Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail clients, distributors, and partners.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored lighting solutions.

**Sales Performance Monitoring**:

- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track sales team performance.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.

**Marketing Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective retail marketing campaigns.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across retail channels.

**Reporting**:

- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior sales management role within the lighting industry or related sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: Up to ₹3,000,000.00 per year
