**Roles & Responsibilities of a Restaurant Captain1. Guest Service & Experience**:

- Greet guests warmly and ensure they are comfortably seated.
- Present menus, take orders accurately, and make recommendations.
- Ensure guests' special requests and dietary preferences are accommodated.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

**2. Staff Supervision & Coordination**:

- Train and guide waitstaff on service standards and etiquette.
- Assign tables and manage staff duties to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor the performance of waiters and other service staff.
- Ensure proper grooming and discipline among team members.

**3. Order Management & Communication**:

- Take food and beverage orders and relay them accurately to the kitchen and bar.
- Ensure timely food and drink service to guests.
- Coordinate between the kitchen, bar, and service team for smooth operations.

**4. Table Management & Presentation**:

- Ensure tables are set up correctly with proper cutlery, napkins, and decorations.
- Oversee table cleanliness and proper dining ambiance.
- Monitor table turnover and availability for new guests.

**5. Sales & Upselling**:

- Suggest special dishes, combos, and beverages to boost sales.
- Inform guests about promotions, discounts, and special events.
- Encourage repeat visits through excellent customer service.

**6. Compliance & Hygiene**:

- Ensure the restaurant follows health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food handling, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures.

**7. Reporting & Feedback**:

- Maintain records of daily sales and customer feedback.
- Report any operational issues to the restaurant manager.
- Suggest improvements for service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
