Job Description - Captain

Position: Captain

Department: Food & Beverage (F&B)

Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager

Job Summary:
The Captain is responsible for supervising the service team and ensuring a smooth dining experience

for guests. They oversee the restaurant or banquet operations, maintain service quality, and ensure

customer satisfaction while upholding hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Operations:

- Greet and escort guests to their tables while ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
- Take orders accurately and ensure timely service of food and beverages.
- Address guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the restaurant or banquet area.

Team Supervision & Coordination:

- Supervise and coordinate service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assign duties to waiters, stewards, and support staff as per operational needs.
- Conduct pre-service briefings to discuss daily specials, promotions, and service protocols.
- Train and guide new staff members to uphold hotel service standards.

Inventory & Quality Control:

- Ensure all service equipment, cutlery, and tableware are clean and available.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service.
- Assist in stock management, requisition of supplies, and reducing wastage.

Sales & Upselling:

- Recommend food and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Promote daily specials and upsell high-margin items to boost revenue.
- Handle billing and payment processing efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or relevant experience in F&B service.
- Experience: 2-4 years in a similar role, preferably in a fine-dining restaurant or hotel.
- Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and train a team.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette.

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
