**Power Cable Production Engineer**

Plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of electrical cables, which are used for transmitting power across various industries, including energy, telecommunications, and transportation. This role typically involves overseeing the design, production, testing, and quality control of power cables to ensure they meet safety standards and specifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Development**:

- Develop and improve power cable designs, including insulation materials, conductors, and cable construction.
- Work with design teams to create cables that meet the required electrical, mechanical, and environmental specifications.
- **Production Process**:

- Oversee the entire cable manufacturing process, from raw material selection to the final product.
- Supervise machine setups, cable extrusion, and assembly processes to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement testing protocols to check the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and final cables.
- Ensure that the cables meet national and international safety standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO).
- Monitor production for any defects or inconsistencies and take corrective actions when necessary.
- **Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving**:

- Identify and resolve issues in the production process, such as machinery malfunctions or raw material defects.
- Implement improvements to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- **Material Selection**:

- Select appropriate materials for cable insulation, conductors, sheathing, and other components, considering factors like electrical conductivity, heat resistance, and environmental conditions.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Coordinate with R&D, product design, quality control, and other departments to ensure product consistency and innovation.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability and quality of materials.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards in the manufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain safety protocols for the production floor.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of production data, test results, and quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare reports on production efficiency, defect rates, and improvement initiatives.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly related to cables and electrical power systems.
- Familiarity with cable manufacturing processes like extrusion, twisting, braiding, and insulation.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEC, ASTM, UL) for power cables.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues during production.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Precision in overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality and defect-free cables.
- **Project Management**:

- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various teams to meet production targets.
- **Computer Skills**:

- Proficiency with software tools for design (CAD), process control, and data analysis.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with different teams and preparing reports.

**Education:

- **
- A **Bachelor’s degree** in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience in the **cable manufacturing industry**

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
