**Responsibilities**:
The Maintenance and Electrician staff will be responsible for ensuring the hospital's infrastructure and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely. Key duties include:
**Electrical Responsibilities**
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, and switches.
- Perform regular checks on hospital electrical equipment and machinery to ensure functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
- Install and replace electrical fixtures, such as fans, lights, and switches, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
**Maintenance Responsibilities**
- Conduct regular inspections of the hospital premises to identify maintenance needs.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, and water fixtures.
- Address HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) issues, ensuring optimal climate control in patient care areas.
- Handle basic carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
- Maintain and repair medical gas systems and ensure continuous supply.
- Supervise contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or emergency situations.
- Keep the hospital's physical infrastructure clean, safe, and functional.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and electrical work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards for hospitals.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems is a plus.
**Shift Timing**
- Flexible to work in shifts, including nights or weekends, as required.
