Job Description

:
This position works in a shared services environment at Sensia Pune and performs accounting functions in accordance with US GAAP. The position works closely with business unit personnel across Sensia’s various offices to identify and address accounting issues in an ever-changing business environment and strives to assure internal controls are designed and operating effectively. This position also supports providing deliverables for external audit and statutory accounting purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Experience in month end closing entries-including accruals, recurring journals, reclassification, corrections, Recon reclass.
- Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
- Experience in month end journal entries posting and recurring journal entries of Leases.
- Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet line items in Blackline, preparation of support documents and upload in Blackline.
- Preparing Journals for Re-class between accounting lines and cost centers.
- Balance sheet reconciliations like prepaid Amortizations, Intercompany & Third party receivables, deferred credits & Noncurrent liabilities reconciliations.
- Experience in general ledgers and performs the complete accounting cycle in compliance with established practices and US GAAP.
- Preparation of Shared cost journals and post the cost to respective profit centers.
- Leads the general ledger Accounting activity and Ledger reconciliations every month end.
- Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and foreign exchange
- Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
- Support and assist auditor during internal and external audits as and when required.
- Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
- Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.
- Review and updation of SOP’s documents on regular basis or as and when required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong ability to communicate in English both in written and verbal forms.
- Bachelors or Post Graduate in Commerce or equivalent qualification
- 0-3 years of experience in general accounting activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills including discretion, tact and courtesy
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Microsoft dynamics experience preferred
- Protect organizations value by keeping information confidential
- Focus on Quality and possess good analytical skills
- Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team,
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
