- We solve the waste management crisis of the Indian Himalayan Region. Our work lies at the intersection of Climate Change, Biodiversity Habitat Conservation, and Informal livelihoods. With a team of 200+ Warriors spread across various locations nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, we strive to create effective waste management solutions across urban and rural landscapes, with a special focus on eco-sensitive and tourist areas.

**Position Brief**

If you are reading this, in all likelihood you have been a tourist at multiple points in your lifetime. During those times, you’ve certainly been impacted by the amount of trash you’ve seen, especially if you’ve been to the beautiful tourist locations in the Indian Himalayan Region. You’ve felt the urge and the need to do something about it, to protect these eco-sensitive areas but you didn’t know how or where to start. We have the perfect opportunity for you

We are launching a first-of-its-kind large-scale responsible tourism initiative to nudge tourists to take pro-environmental action every time they travel through the power of technology and communication tools We’re piloting this initiative in Dharamshala and are looking to onboard people who are passionate about responsible travel, and are desperately looking to create a large-scale positive impact using their communication skills We’re waiting for you, yes, you Just like you’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Engage with tourists directly, and indirectly through various technology tools (WhatsApp Chatbots, QR codes, bulk messaging, etc)- Drafting attractive content and designs to nudge all kinds of tourists to take climate action- Perform A/B testing of designs that work best and user flow content on the WhatsApp Chatbot- Coordination with the team to source content for social media, brochures, and reports- Create short and creative videos for engagement, and- Hands-on - designing of awareness/promotional materials using Adobe, Canva, or Google Slides- Showcasing tourists in social media in creative ways to nudge further tourists- Publish content on travel/tourism industry portals, magazines, websites etc.- Have completed a university degree or professional diploma (for example in Humanities, Social Sciences, Media Studies, Mass Communication, Journalism, Film)- Have 1+ years of experience and must be willing to work with the team on the field- Have excellent English editing, proofreading, and paraphrasing skills- Have a genuine interest in working in the social sector- Be fluently bilingual in English and Hindi and have the ability to translate English into Hindi- Have intermediate knowledge of design software (Adobe, Canva, Coral) & video editing skills- Have intermediate knowledge of Google Drive and Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides)- Have intermediate experience in using social media platforms effectively- Have basic knowledge of waste management and is keen to learn more- Experience in the tourism industry will be preferred
