Position Overview

We are immediately seeking an Engagement Service Coordinator in Mumbai to join our global ESG team.

ISS provides a variety of Stewardship and Engagement solutions. For this position, we are seeking to strengthen the team that delivers the Thematic Engagement solution, an important part of the broader

ISS ESG Collaborative Engagement

services for investors to exercise active ownership through dialogue with companies on environmental and social issues. It supports signatories of the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in fulfilling their commitment to active ownership; to incorporating ESG principles into ownership policies and practices; to seeking disclosure on ESG issues from companies they invest in; and to reporting on activities and progress. The solution also supports clients’ efforts to meet expectations and responsibilities set out in Stewardship Codes.

Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate engagements across the year, and ensure targets are met by established deadlines- Assist with engagement letter drafting and distribution, as well as reminders and escalations- Respond to communications relating to engagement and coordinate with internal teams to ensure that every communication is accurately addressed in a timely manner- Organize meetings involving issuers and clients- Process information into the database- Contribute to the drafting of quarterly and annual engagement reports- Assist in quality assurance of service deliveries- Contribute to monitor industry and market developments and initiatives to review alignment of product against market expectations

Required Skills and Experience:
Professional skills and qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in project management and administrative skills- Excellent communication skills: The individual must be able to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders- Strong project management skills- Prior experience within the fields of RI, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Sustainability are a strong advantage- Strong academic qualifications (Masters in relevant field, such as international relations / law / politics / economics / communications desirable but not required)- Excellent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)- Excellent language skills, both written and oral (Required fluency in English; fluency in Japanese or Mandarin would be of an advantage)
