- We are seeking a Group Purchasing Administrator for our client, a leading power generation specialist, based in Lisburn
- **Pay Rate**: £12.34 Per Hour
- **Hours per week**: 39
- **Working hours**: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm
- Friday 8:30am - 4pm**Job Type**: Temporary, Maternity Cover
- **Job Criteria**:
Essential:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, to include English and Maths grade C and above or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in business support or purchasing function.
- Experience of working in an administration role.
- Strong time management skills and excellent organisational skills are essential, underpinned by an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Excellent IT skills, with demonstrable experience using microsoft word and excel.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Willingness to undertake all necessary in house training programme associated with the role.
- Must be trustworthy, reliable, professional, and have the ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
- 2 years experience in a business support function within the
manufacturing industry.
- **Job Duties**:
- Responsible for the purchasing of non-resale goods and services for the company
- Organise and book Company travel requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and research the best quality goods and services at the best possible price
- Responsible for processing purchasing documents and maintaining records of same
- Liaise with suppliers and develop strong partnerships
- Raise purchase orders and confirm receipt of goods
- Complete all associated paperwork
- Manage travel and accommodation for the group
- Continuously seek improvements in purchasing procedures and methods in line with the Company growth plan
- Research suppliers to ensure best value for money
- Negotiate the keenest prices at the best quality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments across all sites
- Collect and analyse data and produce monthly reports
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by management
