**Position overview**:
As a Senior Officer for Export Documentation, you will be responsible for overseeing the documentation process and legal compliances for both imports and exports. This role requires coordination with various internal teams such as production, purchase, and external agencies including customs authorities, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods. You will also be involved in managing export licenses, handling statutory compliances, and resolving any queries related to export documentation.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the documentation process and legal compliances for imports & exports.
- Coordinate with the production PPC/Purchase team and suppliers.
- Ensure instructions are given to forwarders for pickup of consignments.
- Work with cross-functional teams including CHA, Freight forwarder, Rail Operator & other external agencies to meet customer’s delivery targets.
- Follow track & import; ensure timely filing of IGM.
- Verify checklist or Bill of Entry for correctness classification and applicable duties & exemptions under various schemes.
- Manage Advance Licenses EPCG, DEEC and followup for timely clearance of goods from customers.
- Release documents from the Bank (BRO) if consigned to the Bank; collect documents to CHA/yourself.
- Ensure cargo clearance at customs by selecting the best service provider with approval from senior management wherever free hand shipments are involved.
- Drive Import permit at all operating states and ensure adherence to FEMA/RBI requirements.
- Prepare all export documents under LC within the required time frame.
- Ensure all statutory compliances are adhered to through processes like Customs law, HSN classification, FEMA/RBI rules & guidelines, EXIM policy/procedures.
- Handle DGFT resolving queries/correspondences; monitor Export obligation fulfilment against each license for Imports/Exports obligation fulfilment.
**Key functional Responsibilities**:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of import and export documentation, including verification, preparation, and submission.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements in all documentation processes.
- Facilitate seamless coordination with internal teams such as production, purchase, and forwarders to ensure smooth documentation processes.
- Collaborate effectively with external stakeholders including customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other agencies to meet delivery targets and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a high level of service to internal and external customers by providing timely and accurate documentation support.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to documentation promptly and professionally.

**Educational Qualification & Experience required**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in export documentation and international trade.
- Prior experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
- Knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and export-import policies.
- Experience in managing export documentation under different schemes such as Advance Licenses, EPCG, DEEC, etc.
- Familiarity with FEMA/RBI requirements and procedures related to imports and exports.
