**Job Summary**:
The Import Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of imported materials, components, and parts required for elevator manufacturing. This role focuses on sourcing, negotiating with international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and managing the logistics for imported goods. The Import Purchase Executive will work closely with internal teams (procurement, production, quality control, and logistics) to ensure seamless supply chain operations, maintain cost efficiency, and meet production requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supplier and Vendor Management**:
- Identify and engage reliable international suppliers of elevator components and materials.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and purchase agreements with overseas vendors.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with global suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
- **Procurement and Order Management**:
- Place and manage import orders for components such as elevator motors, control systems, and mechanical parts.
- Ensure timely order placement based on production schedules and material requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of materials.
- **Logistics and Import Compliance**:
- Work with customs brokers and freight companies to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely importation of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations, tariffs, and duties.
- Monitor and track shipment status, resolving any delays or discrepancies in the delivery process.
- **Inventory Coordination**:
- Coordinate with the warehouse and production departments to ensure that inventory levels of imported materials are maintained within optimal levels.
- Track inventory usage and re-order materials as necessary to avoid stockouts and production delays.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, and customs clearance paperwork.
- Ensure that all required documentation is properly archived and accessible for auditing and regulatory purposes.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and material availability for internal stakeholders.
- **Cost Management**:
- Assist in managing procurement costs by monitoring market prices, shipping costs, and exchange rates.
- Work to identify cost-saving opportunities in the procurement process while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Provide input for budget forecasting and cost analysis reports.
- **Quality Assurance and Issue Resolution**:
- Liaise with the quality control team to ensure that imported materials meet the required standards and specifications.
- Address any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly, coordinating returns, replacements, or adjustments as necessary.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams (e.g., production, logistics, quality control) to ensure alignment between procurement and operational needs.
- Report any issues or delays in procurement to senior management and suggest potential solutions.
**Key Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, or related fields.
- Additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management would be an advantage.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in import procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in sourcing international suppliers, handling import documentation, and coordinating shipments.
**Skills**:
- Strong understanding of international trade, logistics, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software (e.g., SAP ).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
**Languages**:
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required. Additional language skills may be an advantage for dealing with international suppliers.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
