Job Summary: Flowserve is looking for a Buyer to help achieve our team goals by guaranteeing the purchase of subcontracted components and services at the best conditions of price, quality and deadlines, in accordance with recommendations of global Supply Chain Team. In this role you will develop and implement purchasing strategies by supporting the Commercial Operations team regarding advance procurement activities, developing our strategy in the engineered markets, with the goal of increasing our profitability and our on-time delivery. You will work on strengthening the alignment of the Company's Purchasing strategy and business strategy. Having the full ownership of the supplier's portfolio, you will work in close relationship with supply team to improve our delivery.

Oracle /SAP & MS Office competencies, Foundry knowledge, Materials knowledge, NDE Skills, Interpersonal skills, communication skills, Knowledge on welding, commercial terms, presentation skills. API Monogram Requirement / API Spec Q1 /PED / CE Marking Requirement / QMS / EMS Awareness.
- Working with immediate manager & commodity team to develop sourcing strategy for specific community aiming to increase cost saving.
- Keep track and close follow up of all new projects and developments. Proactively communicate with respective sites on a set frequency.
- Provide required supplier data on consistent basis to commodity & quality team.
- Manage day-to-day supplier activities w.r.t problem solving, technical study/support, Material Dispatch and Scheduling, supplier performance improvement & EXPEDITING.
- Work closely with site (business unit) Buyers and SC Managers for Forecasting & Project Scheduling & implementation.
- Plan and implement VaVe & lead time reduction projects with Indian suppliers to meet and exceed site expectations.
- Manage Logistics activities & monitor on Dock receipt schedules by working with logistics team.

GENERAL COMPETENCIES

- Collaborate with supply chain staff to share skills, capabilities and knowledge to meet annual objectives & improving capabilities for self.
- Maintain timely and accurate data within supply chain systems (VMS/ LCS app/Project Tracker/RFQ/etc.). Provide on time data which rolls up into Score cards. Review & publish monthly regional supplier scorecards & GSM Dashboard.
- Ensure supply chain business is conducted in a professional and ethical manner consistent with Flowserve Code of Business Conduct
- Supporting in Developing and implement high quality “One Flowserve” supply agreements with regional supply base

BE with 8-10 years relevant experience or D.ME with 12-15 years relevant experience. Post graduate Diploma/Degree in materials/supply chain management will be an added advantage.
